Why current location generally differ from Google Maps (or any other maps like OpenStreetMap, HERE etc) ?? There are two reasons,
1. Might your address lat and long is fixed with that corresponding lat and long (all mapping companies collect mapping data from some third party except data which outsourced from individuals and collected satellites ).
2. As I mentioned in How GPS Work? all digital map use GPS for finding our current location but GPS has the accuracy level of +/- 10m. But in countries like India, it is +/- 20m. It’s huge but can’t do anything. Certainly, we can.
The accuracy level of GPS can increase significantly using Differential Geographic Positioning System (DGPS) but it needs an initial investment.
